Our fresh natural wholesome food range includes a variety of proteins and nutrients as each cut of meat delivers different amino acids. At HugMyDog we are rigorous in ensuring our ingredients come from suppliers of ingredients good enough for human consumption: our chicken is free range, our beef and lamb is grass fed and the pork is outdoor reared.
HugMyDog meals don’t include preservatives or cheap fillers, such as legumes or grains, and only feature the best quality meat with added natural super nutrients, omega-3 and calcium.
HugMyDog – Puppy
If you have a new puppy, we do recommend keeping them on the food they’re used to during the first week. Moving home can be stressful for a young’un, and many can become picky eaters at this time. It’s best to let them settle before making the transition to raw puppy food.
Let’s talk poop!
Poop should be firm and well formed in smallish lumps according to the size of the dog.
Poop should not be sloppy, smelly and in large quantities – this suggests a poor quality, carbohydrate-laden diet.
Or poop that is very hard, dry and crumbly – this suggests a raw food diet containing too much bone.
HugMyDog is very proud of the fact that the quality and composition of its meals means it helps dogs produce poop that is easy to scoop and with very little whiff.
Indeed, when switching to a fresh food diet, one of the most frequently mentioned advantages that people notice is a reduction in the quantity of poop and its pleasing lack of smell!

How to store and prepare HugMyDog
- Store the food in your own fridge or freezer
- Thaw thoroughly, either in the fridge or at room temperature before serving fresh or lightly cooked
- Once defrosted the food can be stored in a sealed container at the bottom of your fridge for up to 2 days
- Observe good hygiene routines in the kitchen: keep surfaces and utensils used in food preparation and serving washed and disinfected

A traditional raw feeding range developed for working dogs.
